The CornerStone (formerly ‘The Hub’) – Coming Spring 2025

Rannoch Community Trust are undertaking an exciting project to transform the former Outdoor Centre into an exciting multi-use venue to serve at the heart of the Rannoch Community.

H&H Construction have been appointed as the main contractors, working with our architects StudioEast. Building work commenced in June 2023, however, with many challenges discovered when taking on an old building, work fully commenced from February 2024 and will take around 1 year to complete. We hope that The CornerStone will be open for use in Spring 2025.

The CornerStone will provide much needed facilities to both Rannoch’s residents and visitors alike.

Community Office space will provide an opportunity for the area’s numerous, clubs, groups, organisations and businesses to access high quality computing and printing services while developing opportunities for collaborative working. Office and Meeting space will also be provided to local community groups.

Toilet Facilities will be available to all, free of charge, during the centres opening hours.

Public Outdoor Space will be created to the front of the building, making use of the large grassed area which we intend to develop into a wintrgarden providing an extension ot the outdoors with seating, meeting areas and a possibly great performance areas.

Cafe/Restaurant/Bar facilities will generate the revenue required to support the operation of The CornerStone, while providing a social meeting space for residents and visitors to enjoy, with food served throughout the day.

Employment opportunities will be created through the operation of both the Office & Meeting spaces as well as the Cafe/Restaurant/Bar. As well as full time management roles it is envisaged that The CornerStone will provide around 8/10 further positions with both full time and part time roles available.

Community Funding any excess profit generated by The CornerStone will be invested through Rannoch Community Trust, to support future projects and development within the local community.
